The 2007-2008 Stroud and District Skittle League Annual Dance and Presentation Evening will be held on
Friday 13th June 2008 from 8:00pm until late, in the Carol Embury Suite at Forest Green Rovers Football Club. Tickets
will be available from the Secretary at the End of Seaseason Competitions onwards. You don't have to be a winner
to come along and enjoy the evening.

Entertainment will be provided by Fleet Street, our Resident Band from Hereford, along with the KC Roadshow

Tickets this year will be £4 each, however the proceeds of the Raffle, which is held on the Evening,
will be donated to Charity.

The number of tickets for the main function room (Carol Embury Suite) will be limited, these will be sold on a first come first served basis. Additional tickets will be available for the additional rooms, these will be able to join us in the main room from the Presentation onwards.

As with last year food will be available, this MUST be pe-ordered and PAID FOR IN ADVANCE

The Menu for the Evening is as follows

Burger and Chips - £3.50
2 x Sausage and Chips - £3.50
Chicken and Chips - £4.50
Cheese and Onion Pasty and Chips - £3.00 (Vegetarian)
2 x Egg and Chips - £3.00

These will be served in the Green Man Inn - Please ensure you collect a ticket to allow you to return to the area where your original ticket was purchased for

The 2006-2007 Stroud and District Skittle League Annual Dance and Presentation Evening was held in the Carol Embury Suite at Forest Green Rovers Football Club on Friday 8th June 2007, there was a healthy attendance at this new venue, on a warm evening.

Thanks goes to Forest Green Rovers Football Club for allowing us to use the Carol Embury Suite for our Annual Function, and Mark Coles and his staff for there assistance in helping set up the room as well as their hospitality during the evening. Entertainment was provided by Fleet Street and the Star Roadshow, we thank them for their contribution in making the event a success. The Trophies were supplied by CHROME AWARDS, and were presented by Colin Gardner MBE, Chairman of Forest Green Rovers Football Club, and his wife Clare, we are grateful that they took the time out from their busy Schedule to attend and delighted at their support.

Prior to the Presentation a minutes silence was held for a number of league members who have sadly passed away over the past season, these include Brian Wherett (Vice-Chairman and Lions Skittle Team), John Coleman (Pirates), Andrew Parsons (STFC Supporters), and Mark Drew (Cavaliers).

After the Presentation Brian Fream was Presented with the shirt of Forest Green Rovers player Micheal Brough, which had been specially framed by the league, in thanks for his 20 years as Fixture Secetary for the League. Brian is a keen supporter of the Football Club, travelling to home and away games, as well as supporting the Under 18's and Ladies Teams. Brian also raises money for the Football Club through the Supporters Club and the Summer Skittle League as well as organising Supporters Coaches for away games.

Our normal photographer Brue Fenn of FREELANCE PHOTOS was unable to attend due to family commitments, but pictures were taken on the Evening and these can be found by visiting the links below (Some pages may take a while to load due to the number of pictures). Pictures can be purchased at the cost of £1 per 8" by 6" copy. Of the fee 40p will be donated to Cancer Research, the Charity supported by the Skittle League, 30p will go to the league, and 30p will cover pinting costs.

Pictures will be printed on Glossy Photo Paper from my Epson R360 Photo Printer and will be laminated. The pictures are extremely good quality. A limited number will be brought to the Annual General Meeting, alternatevely you can contact the secretary, by telephone or email at stroudskittles@aol.com for more details.
