Details
Located on the right hand side of the Alkerton Road as you exit Eastington towards Stonehouse, the Victoria Inn is the only pub in Eastington with a skittle alley. The alley was originally located in a building separate from the main bar, but this building was eventually knocked down, and a new single alley was built as an extension to the main bar.
As many of you are aware the pub is being sold by Punch Taverns, and there is currently a Planning application pending to covert it to Residential Usage, this application has received objections. According to Punch Taverns they have received enquiries for the pub, one of whivh I know is to retain it as a public house.
The pub is being run by a manager, the current one (as of 1/7/2010) is moving elsewhere (as of 29/7/2010), however a new manager is taking over. As a result I do not have a contact number for hiring the alley howeve I plan to stop by and find out the current status.
Please note a number of teams from the Kings Head have booked this alley to the end of the season so availability may be limited for this season
